This year, Big A and I had the opportunity (that’s what I’m going to call it) to spend Thanksgiving together alone in Chicago. Although we did miss all of our loved ones back home, we did have a lot to be thankful for this year and spending it together turned out to be quite perfect. We woke up late, made breakfast, and then proceeded to make the following: turkey, dressing, green bean salad, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, a cheese log, a relish tray, gravy, rolls, sweet potato casserole, pecan pie, AND pumpkin pie. Did we over shoot the food? Sure. Do we regret it? No way. We have enough food to have Thanksgiving all week and we’re pretty psyched about that.

I’m sure it goes without saying that this year I am most thankful for Big A. He is quite possibly the greatest event to happen in my life. I am so thankful to have him by my side, to tear the wishbone with, to eat two pies with, and to hold every night. Bless you all and we wish you the happiest of Thanksgivings from the Windy City!
